Awareness  of  the importance of bees  is increasing, not only for their beautiful colours,   honey (which is their own produce designed to sustain them through the winter months), but also for their importance in pollinating crops.  Sadly they are one of many species in decline due to habitat loss, and varoa disease.

I wanted to learn more about bees and I attended a 2 day course at The Snowdonia Society.

 

In the future, I hope to utilise the skills and information I learned to help others to plant for bees and other wildlife, through workshops.
